At our nonprofit, we believe in preserving cultural traditions through hands-on creative experiences that bring the community together. Our Crafts Workshops for kids are a testament to this commitment, where we celebrate and pass on traditional craftsmanship. One of our notable initiatives involved creating Christmas cards adorned with shevitsi – beautiful, intricate patterns rooted in our cultural heritage. These handmade cards were donated to charity, spreading joy while supporting children in need. We also embraced the tradition of crafting martenitsi, the iconic red and white bracelets symbolizing health and prosperity, which we shared with the community in celebration of this cherished Bulgarian custom. Through these workshops, we not only preserve cultural practices but also create opportunities for connection, learning, and giving back to those in need.
